How does the built-in deployable side baffle work?

How to deploy the EPS (Expanda Panel System)

If you are having trouble setting up your sleeping bags EPS panel, please read on for a step by step guide on how to deploy it.

Stage 1

Firstly unzip the full sleeping bag down to the bottom.

Stage 2

Undo the internal retaining zip. The zip baffle will now open out into an insulated panel of stretchy material, which should have a retaining zip from top to bottom. This panel is the EPS.

Stage 3

Next, take the retaining zip located on the EPS panel and slide it into the external parallel zip located on the main sleeping bag.

Stage 4

Finally, zip the sleeping bag up with the retaining zip and the transformation is complete. Reverse the following steps to return the EPS to a chunky zip baffle.

Important Information

Deploying the ‘expander panel’ will reduce the thermal efficiency and temperature rating of the sleeping bag.
