State-of-the-art machinery
Automated quilting and cutting give every product the consistency and performance our customers stake their comfort — and sometimes their safety — on.
For nearly fifty years we've built sleeping bags and insulated clothing trusted from the world's coldest ridgelines to the family campsite — still made by hand in West Yorkshire.
Read our storyIn 1977, Snugpak started life as a true cottage industry. Nearly fifty years on, we still design and make our sleeping bags and insulated clothing in an 1800s mill in the heart of West Yorkshire.
Our kit is trusted from Arctic ridgelines to family campsites. We build gear to withstand the harshest conditions, then test it well beyond where most people will ever take it.
Snugpak is one of the last remaining manufacturers of sleeping bags and insulated clothing in the UK and across all of Europe. When a product says 'UK manufactured', we mean it.
We're a close-knit, family-oriented company, and it shows. 65% of our team have been with us for a decade or more.

insulated-kit makers left in the UK & Europe
Plenty of brands moved their making overseas. We didn't. Our team continues the county's centuries-old tradition of textile craft — combining precise, modern machinery with the hands and eyes of people who have done this for decades.
To be straight with you: our sleeping bags and insulated clothing are made right here in Yorkshire. A handful of accessories and travel items are produced with trusted partners we know and audit closely — and we'll always be clear about which is which.

1800s
Home of our UK making since 1977.
Automated quilting and cutting give every product the consistency and performance our customers stake their comfort — and sometimes their safety — on.
Finished by people who've stitched Snugpak kit for decades — the detail a machine alone can't give.
Our own fine-fibre insulation — soft, packable and warm even when damp. It's the heart of almost everything we make.
A reflective lining that bounces your own body heat back to you — extra warmth for barely any extra weight.

Our products are known to last. Parents who trusted Snugpak years ago are proud to buy it for their own children now.
Everything we make is fit for purpose and built to work. It's been our promise since we developed our exclusive Softie® insulation.
Nearly fifty years designing, making and selling outdoor equipment means we can speak with confidence — and let the kit do the talking.
I bought my Snugpak Oak in 1990, and over 35 years later it's still in fantastic condition and performing brilliantly. From expeditions in Norway to camping in the North Yorkshire Moors, it's never let me down. A sleeping bag truly built to last.
From military operations to summit pushes and quiet nights under canvas, our kit is chosen by people who can't afford for it to fail. That trust has earned us Queen's Awards, an Armed Forces Covenant Silver Award, and customers who come back decades later.
